First, you'll need to be sure they are termites. This is what termites look like:
a head and body (2 parts not 3 parts with a waist, and with straight beads for antennae, not with elbows in the antennae). If you found winged ones and they have equal sized wings, they are termites. If the front wings are bigger, they are not.
If they are termites, do not disturb them, don't even spray it with anything and just leave them for the meantime. If they got disturbed, they move out in their current spot and move to another area, damaging your house.
We have three types of treatment for Termites:
Pre-Site Treatment- The soil in immediate contact with the foundation and floor structure of a building is treated with an insecticide which kills or repels termites thus forming a toxic barrier which is lethal to termite entry.
Post-Site Treatment- This is a method of termite control that is carried out on a building ready for habitation or a residence that has been occupied. It is carried out when these pest attacks through surface soil and spread throughout the building to get food.
Baiting System using Exterra Baiting System- The Exterra baiting system eliminates the entire termite colony. Termites are eliminated inside your home or building using above ground termite baiting stations. External in-ground stations are designed to eliminate termite colonies around your home and providing 24/7 in-ground termite protection.
There are four basic approaches to controlling mosquitoes:prevention, source reduction, larviciding and adulticiding.
Preventing mosquitoes from breeding is the most desirable solution. Unfortunately, many human modifications of the environment such as ditches, ponds, and water management structures create mosquito breeding sites. Source reduction is the elimination of water in which mosquitoes lay their eggs and in which the larvae develop. Source reduction is the second most effective method for controlling mosquitoes. Methods of source reduction involve eliminating containers that hold water and filling wet areas with soil.
If you are sensitive to or have allergies to fumes and chemicals, it will be a good idea to stay outdoors during the pest control process. Once the vapor clears out, which usually happens within a few hours, you can safely return home.
Depending on the treatment, it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours before your home is safe to be occupied. Your pest control expert will let you know how long you need to wait after extermination before returning inside.
